trellis system
Quiedan has manufactured countless custom trellis systems to fit the needs of the grower. This page contains some of our more popular systems. The seven systems shown are intended to give an idea of stake spacing and component mix. This is a starting point to what we believe is the most versatile product line on the market. Quiedan will manufacture a system that meets your trellis requirements.
high strength trelllis
A vertical shoot positioned trellis using the Standard Grapestake Profile in two lengths. Movable wires are carried by a set of mini crossarm Pinch Clips. Trellis systems incorporating a Stake Grabber™ crossarm can also use this setup.
vertrell trellis
A vertical trellis system using the Vertrell stake and one of our Training Stake profiles. Vertrell stakes can accomodate a special Pinch Clip, or Stake Grabber™ Crossarms if required.
linepost trellis
A vertical shoot positioned trellis using our Q Post Profile and one of our Training Stakes. The Q Post can be punched to accomodate our mini crossarm Pinch Clip, or can also be fitted with a Stake Grabber™ crossarm.
top notch trellis
A vertical shoot positioned using our innovative Top Notch profile couples with one of our training stake profiles. The Utility Notch profile can be used in the same system, spaced 18' apart.
open lyre trellis
An Open Lyre trellis. Quiedan manufactures two different units. One incorporates the Q Post profile as the base, with a fabricated steel boxarm and Vertrell vertical uprights. The other Open Lyre system is made up entirely of Top Notch profile components. Quiedan is the leader in Open Lyre trellis design, combining strong products that are easily assembled.
antler arm trellis
A Divided Canopy trellis using a Y (antler arm) Crossarm made up of Stake Grabber™ crossarms. The Y Arm is attached to a Q Post, with Training Stakes and a Standard Grapestake in between. Quiedan has manufactured countless variations on this system, both for new plantings and for retrofit. We have the manufacturing capability to vary the lengths and angles of the crossarms, and to install the Y crossarm on any profile in the market.
The Folding Trellis is a great way to move to a divided canopy trellis that can be harvested mechanically by standard machines. The specially punched vertical arms of this unit pivot closed at harvest time. The system uses the Q Post as the short section driven into the ground, and the arms can be made of several types of stake profile.
Quiedan Company's large product line of profiles and punching capability have made us a leader in Dried On Vine Raisin trellis. Quiedan manufactures several versions, from retrofit to new development. All systems are custom manufacture to meet the needs of the grower. The system above uses a Q Post as the linepost, a specially punched plate that provides several angles and heavy gauge grapestakes for the uprights.
