training stakes
Training Rod: Hard Drawn, 0.23" and 0.31" dia. carbon steel rod, cut to length as specified. The smallest steel product succesfully used as a trainer. Trellis wires attach with either a bamboo style tension clip or a mini wrap clip. The training rod provides negligiable strength to the trellis but keeps vines and wires straight, tight and harvests well. The rod is available in other diameters. Packaged in 100 and 500 pc bundles.

Training Tube: The performance characteristics of the Training Tube are equivalent to the Training Rod above. The larger profile, 3/8" diameter is a little lighter weight than the solid training rod. Packaged in 100 pc bundles.

Starter Stake: Miniature grapestake profile formed in 20 or 18ga. Grade E galvanized steel. Strength is about 2 1/2 to 3 times greater than the Training Rod or Tube above. Wires attach with a custom wrap clip. The Starter Stake will contribute to the overall trellis strength and provides a machine friendly profile that harvests well. Packaged in 1000 pc bundles.

V-Line Trainer: The "V" Trainer replaces the garden stake trainer with an improved strengthened profile. Wires are attached with a custom wrap clip. The Trainer Stake is available in material thickness ranging from 14ga through 18ga. 18ga (Grade E Galvanized) and 16ga (Full Hard Cold Roll) are the materials generally used. This option is about double the strength of the starter stake and about 50% more expensive. Packaged in 1000 pc bundles. Lengths 24"-72".

V-Line Grapestake: This profile is generally used as a stand alone line post. In lighter gages, the "V" Line Grapestake provides an exceptional strength value and should be considered where maximum strength is needed for interior stakes. Wires attach with custom wrap clips. Available, in a variety of steels, in material thickness of 18ga to 13ga. When used as a training stake, 20ga and 18ga materials in Grade E Galvanized or Full Hard Cold Roll are the most commonly called for. Packaged in 500 pc bundles. Lengths 24"-108".
