Quiedan has been at the forefront of Growtube testing, development and manufacturing since their introduction into the trellis market. We manufacture both a one piece sleeve and two part slide tube.

Growtubes are now available in a wide variety of materials and dimensions. Our experience and research shows that the optimum growth to investment ratio comes from a 3 1/2" diameter by the best length for the trellis (6" below the cordon for vertical and 10-12" below the cordon for divided).

The Tube will be made from a compound designed for extended service and to reduce excessive heat and light. Tubes made thicker are more rigid and are easier to install; they merely press into the ground. The thicker Tube holds its shape in high winds and also provides better UV protection. Quiedan has recently begun manufacturing both the One and Two Part Growtubes with the same long lasting compound. Both tubes can be expected to last 3-5 years.

Access to the plant inside is also important. The two part slide Tube offers easy access by just sliding up one side or the other. No labor intensive clips are involved. Quiedan has recently begun manufacturing the two part tube out of the longer lasting compound that makes up our one part tube.
